Care in the reef aquarium
- Difficulty: medium
- Light: medium (approx. 100–220 PAR), acclimate slowly
- Flow: medium to strong and intermittent, without blowing directly onto the tissue permanently
- Nutrients: nitrate approx. 3–15 mg/l, phosphate approx. 0.03–0.10 mg/l
- Water parameters: 24–26 °C, 34–35 PSU salinity, alkalinity 7–8.5 °dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l
- Feeding: add very fine plankton or coral food sparingly to the current several times a week
Placement in the aquarium
attach freely and upright in the middle reef zone so that the entire fan surface is well surrounded by flow; avoid contact with neighboring corals
