FAQ

How are corals shipped?

Live corals are packed for the expected temperature and sent by express service. We use GO! Express for Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. We use UPS Express for Belgium, Poland, Czechia, France, Spain and Denmark.

How quickly will my order be delivered?

GO! Express: dispatch Monday to Thursday, normally delivered Tuesday to Friday.

UPS Express: dispatch only Monday to Wednesday, delivered Tuesday to Thursday by the afternoon of the following day. There is no UPS dispatch on Friday, Saturday or Sunday; Monday is the first UPS dispatch day of the week.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs depend on the delivery country and order value. For UPS countries, express shipping costs €60.00. Orders below €80.00 incur an additional €15.00 packaging surcharge; UPS shipping is free from €500.00. All countries, GO! prices and free-shipping thresholds are listed under Shipping & Delivery.

What should I check regarding public holidays?

Before selecting a date, please check whether it is a local or regional public holiday at the delivery address. Delivery may then be postponed to the next working day. Delays caused by a local or regional public holiday selected by the customer are excluded from our voluntary Live Arrival Guarantee; statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

How are corals packaged?

Our corals are packaged securely for transport and the expected temperature. Depending on the season and outside temperature, we use suitable thermal packaging and, when needed, heat packs or other temperature-stabilising measures.

What does WYSIWYG mean?

WYSIWYG stands for “What You See Is What You Get”. For appropriately marked corals, you receive exactly the animal or frag shown in the product images.

Are the product photos original?

For WYSIWYG items, the images show the actual animal offered. Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting, camera, screen and aquarium conditions.

What is the Live Arrival Guarantee?

We guarantee that live corals will arrive alive when shipped correctly by express service. If there is unexpectedly a problem on arrival, contact us immediately after receiving the parcel and send clear photos or a short video.

Further information is available on our Live Arrival Guarantee page.

What should I do immediately after delivery?

Open the parcel as soon as possible after delivery and check the animals. After transport, corals may initially appear retracted or less vibrant. After gentle acclimation, give them enough time to adapt to your aquarium.

How should I acclimate new corals?

Avoid strong and sudden changes. Pay particular attention to temperature, salinity, lighting and flow. Place sensitive animals under moderate lighting first and adjust conditions gradually.

Can I collect my order from CoralPrime?

If pickup is offered for your order during checkout, you can select it. You will receive a notification when your order is ready for collection.

Can I reserve corals?

Products are only considered ordered once checkout has been completed. Availability can therefore change at short notice, especially for one-off pieces and WYSIWYG corals.

Why is a coral closed after arrival?

Transport is stressful for corals. It is normal for polyps to remain closed after delivery. Depending on the species and conditions, it can take several hours or longer for the animal to fully open.

What water parameters do the corals need?

Optimal conditions vary by coral species. Stable water parameters are generally more important than rapid corrections. Please also follow the guidance in the relevant product description.

Can I order dry goods together with corals?

Yes, provided the products can be ordered together. Depending on the type of goods and shipping requirements, an order may be sent in multiple parcels or with different carriers.
