A Fungia does not need a spot high on the reef. Its flat body and fleshy tissue make an attractive feature on open sand. This collection brings together our corals offered as Fungia. With WYSIWYG, you receive the exact photographed animal; check each listing for its size and price. Photographs are taken under blue aquarium lighting, so colours may look different in your tank.
A suitable spot matters more than intense light
Choose level, clean sand with space from neighbouring corals. Do not wedge the animal between rocks or bury it. Start with low to moderate lighting and gentle, indirect flow. When moving it, support the skeleton from underneath rather than squeezing inflated tissue. Offer small portions of suitable food when a feeding response is visible; never push food into the mouth.
Fungia or Heliofungia?
We list long-tentacled Heliofungia separately. Compare space requirements and read the individual care notes before choosing. Explore our other LPS corals and check our shipping information.
