- Water chemistry: 24–26 °C, 34–35 PSU salinity, alkalinity 7–8.5 °dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l
- Feeding: light and dissolved nutrients are usually sufficient; fine food can occasionally be offered sparingly
