Haltung im Riffaquarium
- Schwierigkeitsgrad: mittel bis anspruchsvoll
- Licht: mittel bis stark (ca. 180–350 PAR)
- Strömung: sanft bis mittel; Mantelgewebe nicht direkt anströmen
- Nährstoffe: Nitrat etwa 2–15 mg/l, Phosphat etwa 0,02–0,10 mg/l
- Wasserwerte: 24–26 °C, 34–35 PSU Salzgehalt, KH 7–8,5 °dKH, Calcium 410–450 mg/l, Magnesium 1.250–1.400 mg/l
- Fütterung: bei ausreichend Licht ist in der Regel keine gezielte Fütterung nötig; eine stabile Versorgung mit gelösten Nährstoffen ist wichtig
Platzierung im Aquarium
standfest und so platzieren, dass sich die Byssusöffnung sicher anheften kann; kleine Tiere häufig auf einem flachen Stein im unteren bis mittleren Bereich starten und langsam an starkes Licht gewöhnen
