Description
Acanthastrea echinata Rainbow – Acanthastrea echinata with spreading growth and distinct polyps.
You receive the exact specimen shown in the original photographs. Specimen 205. The photographs were taken under blue aquarium lighting; colours can look different under your own lighting.

Light and flow
Light: low to moderate, increasing new lighting gradually. Flow: gentle to moderate and indirect.
Placement in your reef
On secure rock in the lower reef, well separated from other corals.
Feeding and ongoing care
Sparingly offer small marine particles when feeding polyps are extended.
Do not place echinata directly against other acan species. It can damage neighbouring tissue; regularly check spacing and nighttime extension.
Keep water conditions stable
As a general reef starting point: 24–26 °C, salinity 34–35 PSU, alkalinity 7–8.5 dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l and magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l. Stability matters more than abruptly chasing a number. Avoid complete nutrient depletion and check trends rather than reacting to a single reading.
