Description
The Deltec TC 2000ix is a protein skimmer for marine and reef aquariums. Deltec specifies an aquarium range of 1500–2000 litres. The externally mounted Deltec DCS 1700 operates at 230 V and 33 W, with maximum air intake of 1700 l/h. The cylindrical body and air-water mixing support the removal of skimmable organic material.
The manufacturer permits this TC model to be installed inside or outside a sump. An external water feed is required and must be included in the installation plan. The stated aquarium volume is guidance: fish stocking, feeding and system load influence the appropriate skimmer size.

Installation and maintenance
Read the current instructions before installation and allow space for the skimmer, pipework and removal of the collection cup. Arrange the water feed and outlet for safe operation. Adjust skimming gradually after the run-in period. Clean the collection cup, air intake and pump regularly according to the manufacturer instructions. The collection cup has a drain hose. The manufacturer lists CS 2000 / CSM 2000 as optional cleaning equipment; this description does not promise that it is included.
Safety
Disconnect mains power before cleaning, servicing or working in the water. Never run the pump dry. Protect cables and electrical connections from damage and moisture, and correct leaking connections before use. Use electrical equipment only as specified in the manufacturer instructions.
