Care in a reef aquarium
- Difficulty: moderate
- Light: low to medium (approx. 60–160 PAR)
- Flow: gentle to medium and indirect
- Nutrients: nitrate about 3–15 mg/l, phosphate about 0.03–0.10 mg/l
- Water parameters: 24–26 °C, 34–35 PSU salinity, dKH 7–8.5, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l
- Feeding: offer fine or small fleshy coral food occasionally after the feeding polyps have opened
Placement in the aquarium
place in the lower to middle reef zone and slowly acclimatize to brighter light; leave at least 10–15 cm distance to neighboring corals
