Reef aquarium care

  • Lighting: Low to moderate; acclimate gradually.
  • Flow: Gentle to moderate and indirect. Avoid a strong direct jet onto the tissue.
  • Water parameters: 24–26 °C, salinity 34–35 PSU, alkalinity 7–8.5 dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l.
  • Nutrients: Nitrate approximately 5–15 mg/l and phosphate 0.03–0.10 mg/l.
  • Feeding: Small meaty coral foods may be offered sparingly. Avoid overfeeding.

Placement in the aquarium

Secure in the lower to middle reef with sufficient space for extended sweeper tentacles. Avoid contact with neighbouring corals.

These are guideline ranges. Stable water chemistry and gradual adjustments matter more than reaching one exact number.
