Reef aquarium care
- Difficulty: moderate
- Lighting: low to moderate (approx. 70–180 PAR)
- Flow: gentle to moderate and indirect; the tissue should move gently without being pushed inward
- Nutrients: nitrate approx. 5–15 mg/l, phosphate approx. 0.03–0.10 mg/l
- Water parameters: 24–26 °C, salinity 34–35 PSU, alkalinity 7–8.5 dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1.250–1.400 mg/l
- Feeding: Small frozen or coral foods can be offered once or twice a week, but targeted feeding is not essential
Placement in the aquarium
Place in the lower to middle reef. Leave around 10–20 cm of space to account for possible sweeper tentacles.
These are guideline ranges. Stable water chemistry and gradual adjustments matter more than reaching one exact number.
