Care in the reef aquarium
- Difficulty: medium
- Light: low to medium (approx. 70–160 PAR)
- Flow: gentle to medium and alternating; the long polyps should sway loosely
- Nutrients: nitrate approx. 5–15 mg/l, phosphate approx. 0.03–0.10 mg/l
- Water parameters: 24–26 °C, 34–35 PSU salinity, alkalinity 7–8.5 °dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l
- Feeding: sparingly add fine coral food near the open polyps once or twice a week
Placement in the aquarium
in the lower to middle reef area with sufficient open space for fully extended polyps; keep a distance of about 10–15 cm
