Husbandry in the reef aquarium
- Difficulty: moderate
- Light: moderate (approx. 100–220 PAR), acclimatize slowly
- Flow: moderate to strong and alternating, without blowing directly onto the tissue constantly
- Nutrients: nitrate approx. 3–15 mg/l, phosphate approx. 0.03–0.10 mg/l
- Water parameters: 24–26 °C, 34–35 PSU salinity, alkalinity 7–8.5 °dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l
- Feeding: add very fine plankton or coral food sparingly into the current several times a week
Placement in the aquarium
attach freely and upright in the middle reef area so that the entire fan surface is well-washed by the current; avoid contact with neighboring corals
