Care in the reef aquarium
- Difficulty: moderate to demanding
- Light: moderate to high (approx. 180–350 PAR)
- Flow: strong and alternating, but not directly on the tissue constantly
- Nutrients: nitrate approx. 2–10 mg/l, phosphate approx. 0.02–0.08 mg/l
- Water parameters: 24–26 °C, 34–35 PSU salinity, alkalinity 7–8.5 °dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l
- Feeding: lives primarily from light; offer fine coral food sparingly at most about once a week
