Trace Colors A Iodine+ supplies iodine as part of trace-element supplementation in a marine aquarium. It is one component of the Trace Colors range, not the A/B/C/D starter set. It does not replace calcium, alkalinity or magnesium supplementation.
Check the need before dosing
Trace elements are not a quick fix for pale corals. Establish whether supplementation is needed rather than adding several products on suspicion. Use appropriate measurements and follow the instructions. If following a consumption-based approach, calcium uptake must actually be measured; monitoring iodine uptake is particularly important in very low-nutrient systems.
During ongoing use
Account for iodine supplied by other supplements to avoid accidentally dosing twice. Record additions and monitor the trend. Follow the dosing instructions for the supplied liquid version rather than increasing the amount simply because a coral changes colour.
