Care in the reef aquarium
- Difficulty: medium
- Light: low to medium (approx. 60–160 PAR)
- Flow: medium to strong and variable, to prevent debris from accumulating on the branches
- Nutrients: nitrate approx. 5–20 mg/l, phosphate approx. 0.04–0.15 mg/l
- Water parameters: 24–26 °C, 34–35 PSU salinity, alkalinity 7–8.5 °dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l
- Feeding: offer fine plankton food sparingly several times a week; non-photosynthetic species require significantly more frequent feeding
