Description
The Salifert Potassium test measures potassium (K) in a saltwater aquarium. It is useful when monitoring potassium supplementation or checking an unusual laboratory result at home. This is the saltwater test kit, not the separate freshwater potassium test.
Using and interpreting the test
Use the result table supplied with the kit and follow its sample volume, reagent sequence and reaction times. Repeat an unexpected reading with a fresh sample. A pale coral alone is not sufficient reason to dose potassium; confirm the measurement and review the other water parameters before changing supplementation.
Use the enclosed instructions for your test version. Reagents are for water testing only; do not return the tested sample to the aquarium, and keep the kit out of children's reach.
