Care in the reef aquarium

  • Difficulty: medium
  • Light: low to medium (approx. 60–150 PAR)
  • Flow: gentle to medium and indirect; avoid strong, direct flow
  • Nutrients: nitrate approx. 5–15 mg/l, phosphate approx. 0.03–0.10 mg/l
  • Water parameters: 24–26 °C, 34–35 PSU salinity, KH 7–8.5 °dKH, calcium 410–450 mg/l, magnesium 1,250–1,400 mg/l
  • Feeding: offer small meaty food pieces via target feeding once or twice a week

Placement in the aquarium

best placed freely on the sand bed or in the lower reef area, ensuring the soft tissue does not rub against sharp rock edges; keep 15–20 cm distance from other corals
